About Me
I am a human rights activist, freelance journalist, and researcher spending a year at Harvard University.I hold an MBA, and MA in political science from the American University of Beirut. I acquired human rights education and training at Oxford. I created this blog to give media critics the opportunity to make their voices heard; highlight similarities between the US and Arab world; and provide a much needed humanitarian lens to address important issues in the region, with the intent of playing a part (however small in the bigger picture) of bridging social cultural and political divides between the US and Arab world. I intend to use the content of this website to write a constructive critique of Western media's coverage of Arab society and culture, and aspire to turn this initiative into a platform for influencing the agenda of Western media coverage of the Arab world.
